Q. Do we have to e-mail the documents to you before we arrive?

Yes, a form will be emailed to you to filled out 30 days prior to weddig date, if your wedding is legal a scanned copy of both Bride and Groom and the 4 Witnesses will also be required.
Q. What is the Apostille document?
A.
The Apostille document is a special certification document that is accepted to countries that are a party to the rules of the 1961 Hague Convention. This Apostille document enables you to bypass further certification from the US Department of State and immediately send or take your documents to the country of intended use. Please contact your Secretary of State office for information on how to obtain the Apostille Document or log on to http://www.state.gov/m/a/auth/c16921.htm
Q. How many copies of our birth certificates do you need?
A. If you need to supply one because of a special circumstances, in the case of the Bride being divorced or widowed. you must have one original with apostille and translation by an official translator. ( please check with wedding coordinator )
Q. Do we need to have a Passport?
A. Yes, even though it is not needed to enter Mexico it is necessary to have a Passport in order to be legally married in <mexico.
Q. How many days do I need to be at the resort before we can get married?
A. You must be in Mexico for at least 3 working days before the wedding. Saturdays and Sundays are not considered working days. Mexican Holidays are not considered working days, please ask the wedding coordinatorfor details.
Q. How long will it take to know if a Date and Time is Available?
A. If your wedding is within six months: Please fill out a form that is available on the Internet site or through the wedding coordinators. Once we receive the information we will need 48 hours to confirm the time and date with the judge or minister. It is best to give the coordinators several options in case the first choice is not available.
Once you received these wedding date and time options, a $100.00 US Non Refundable deposit is needed to Confirm the Date.
If your wedding is outside of six months: For the Dorado Hotels, we have a Judge exclusive for these hotels, therefore, dates can be confirmed up to 12 months in advance. Except during Mexican Holidays. Ask your Wedding Coordinator for details.
Q. Is the ceremony performed in English or Spanish?
A. All ceremonies are performed in Spanish but our Wedding Coordinators will translate.
Q. Are the weddings performed in Mexico legal in the United States, Canada and the UK?
A.
Yes. Civil weddings performed in Mexico are legal in the United States, Canada and the UK. Please check with your local courthouse on how to register your marriage certificate.
Q. What happens if I do not have a witness for the ceremony?
A. The Resorts can provide witnesses for you at a cost of $20 u.s. per witness.
Q. Which days of the week, and time of day can I get married?
A. You can get married 7 Days a Week, 24 Hours a day; except on Mexican Holidays. Most frequent wedding times are based on Daylight savints time.
Q. What is the different wedding sites on the property?
A. There are a variety of areas, Beach front gazebos and Garden gazebos, including 2 chapels, one at The El Dorado Royale,located at beach front and at Dorado Maroma also beach front.
Q. Can I have others join us who are not staying at hotel?
A. Yes, they can join you but they will have to purchase a day pass for the resort. This will give them access to all amenities on the property for that particular day up to 8hrs. Prviate events not included. Ask your Wedding Coordinator for details.
Children are not allowed at the Adults only resorts.
Q. Can I have my blood test done before I come to the resort?
A. Blood test must be done in Mexico, to avoid translation costs and expensive paperwork.
Q. How do I qualify for the Free Wedding that is advertised?
A. You must stay at the El Dorado Royale and purchase a Casita Suite or upgrade for a minimum of seven nights, plus 5 rooms for minimum 3 nts, or Seadie Suites at a Swim Up Jac. Ste, minimum 7 nts and 5 rms for a minimum of 3nts. If you do not qualify due to the amount of rooms needed, then you may purchase another one of our Wedding packages that the Resort offers. Please note that the Casita suites do sell out quickly so it is best to book at least six months in advance.
Q. Do I have to bring my own music?
A. No, we have a selection of music that you can choose from. If you do bring your own music we recommend that you bring it in a CD format or Ipod.
Q. Do I need to pay extra for my wedding dinner?
A. Every hotel has a Maximum Group Dinner reservation included in your package. However, most Brides also organized Private events at an additional cost, cocktails, dinners, etc., Please contact your wedding coordinator for more details.
Q. How can I find out what other options are available for my wedding?
